The new GR86 model of Toyota has maintained an affordable price tag of $30,000 and is now equipped with a 2.4-liter cylinder boxer engine, an upgrade over its previous 2.0-liter engine. As Matt Crisara points out, the GR86 is an improved driving experience that no longer requires downshifting while exiting corners. GR86 may be lower powered than some, but a good driver can actually get more out of it especially with its manual transmission.
It makes for a smoother and fast sports car capable of getting from zero-to-60 in 6.1 seconds (6.6 seconds with the automatic version). It now packs 228 horsepower as well. For looks and aesthetics, this Gazoo Racing car comes with either a standard or premium trim. The premium version gives you even bigger wheels, stickier tires, duckbill spoiler, aluminum pedals, and Alcantara inserts. It’s also a comfortable drive with seats that bolster you in place even with high-speed driving and fast turns. You can also enjoy the latest interior technology such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Sirius XM, and HD Radio.
