The new Tundra offers you the choice between two capable powertrains, a conventional twin-turbo V6 as well as a hybrid version of the same engine. The gas powertrain boasts a net output of 358 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque in the base trim level, for a towing capacity of 8,300 pounds. Performance upgrades boost the output to 389 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque in the upper gas models.

Rear-wheel drive is standard in all gas trims, while four-wheel drive is available across the lineup. For added power and torque, as well as a greener ride, you can opt for the hybrid i-FORCE MAX engine that pumps out 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque and pairs exclusively with a four-wheel drivetrain for added performance in all driving conditions. Depending on the engine and cab type, this truck can tow up to 12,000 pounds.

Off-Roading Prowess

Ready to tackle whatever the day brings, the 2025 Tundra boasts an impressive off-roading capability regardless of the drivetrain you choose. Each trim level comes standard with an automatic limited-slip differential that directs torque where needed, allowing you to drive over all types of terrains and road conditions. Engine and body undercovers also come standard, protecting your truck when driving over obstacles and from flying road debris.

The four-wheel drive system brings additional features, including crawl control for enhanced performance when driving over extremely rugged terrains. A multi-terrain monitor with selectable front, rear, and side views is available on select trims, and select models also come with performance suspensions and other off-roading upgrades.

First-Class Comfort

Whether you opt for the Double or the CrewMax cab, the 2025 Tundra offers high-end comfort. Both cab styles come with seats for five and boast fabric-trimmed seating surfaces and direction-adjustable front seats. Under-seat storage is standard at the rear and pairs with other convenience features, including a standard smart key system with panic and tailgate release functions.

An eight-inch center touchscreen provides smartphone integration and access to Toyota’s connected services, most of which come with complimentary trials. A larger touchscreen and premium audio are available. Driver assistance technologies include pre-collision systems with pedestrian detection, lane tracing assistance, lane departure alert with steering assistance, and adaptive cruise control.
