Things to Love about the 2021 Toyota Sienna

Due to its striking exterior, superior ride, and fuel-efficient hybrid power system, the all-new 2021 Toyota Sienna minivan is much improved and refined over previous models. The Sienna’s updated design and an all-hybrid lineup make it an especially attractive option. Having an elegant body, a wide-mouth grille, and narrow headlights, the new Sienna has the look of an SUV. On the interior, the minivan has undergone a bold makeover as well, but is still focused on being practical and family-friendly.

Engine and Transmission

Last year’s V-6 engine has been replaced by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder and two electric motors that make up the van’s standard hybrid powertrain, which boasts best-in-class fuel economy. Front-wheel drive is standard but all-wheel drive is still available. Unlike previous versions, the 2021 Sienna is offered exclusively as a hybrid.

Cabin, Comfort and Cargo

To complement the bold redesign of its exterior, the 2021 Sienna has an updated and tasteful interior, featuring a tall center console with a large storage cubby below. The Sienna’s second row seats are not removable, but the optional second-row captain’s chairs can be moved forward-and-back to provide maximum legroom for rear-seat passengers or increased room behind the second row for cargo.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The Sienna’s most recent infotainment system features a nine-inch touchscreen display that sits on the dashboard above the climate controls. Connectivity for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa is standard, and seven USB ports are spread throughout the cabin. An onboard Wi-Fi hotspot and SiriusXM satellite radio are also offered. The base stereo has six speakers, with eight and 12 being optional or standard on some trims. In-dash navigation and a rear-seat entertainment set-up are available on most models.

Safety and Driver-Assistance

For the all-new Sienna, several driver-assistance features are standard, including the following key components: blind-spot monitoring; automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection; lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assistance; and adaptive cruise control. Convenience items such as an exterior camera system and parking sensors are optional.
